Tactic is a dj & production team made up of Ben Tactic and Brent Tactic. The pair started working together in Kansas City in 2002 and immediately began to build on the success of their individual music careers. Ben’s background is based in electronic dance music and he cut his teeth playing warehouses, lofts and clubs all over the Midwest. Brent experienced great success in the hip-hop scene and split his time between djing and running an independent hip-hop label.

The two found common creative ground with the burgeoning music scene that ignored genre boundaries. Their focus became the best possible music from a broad cross section of club culture. Their forward thinking dj sets blur the line between hip-hop, electronic and club music to get everyone’s asses shaking. Their djing has taken them all over US and they have played alongside the likes of Diplo, Egyptian Lover, Prefuse 73, Spank Rock, MSTRKRFT and many more.

Tactic has proven just as effective in the studio as they are behind the decks. Their remixes and original productions have garnered international attention with plays on London’s prestigious KISS FM and Radio1. Their work has also made its way into the dj sets of Diplo, Sinden, Tittsworth, Starkey, Flosstradamus, Cosmo Baker and Eli Escobar. To date they have had remixes and original tracks released on labels such as Mad Decent, Dress 2 Sweat (Numbers), Starkey's label Slit Jockey, Datura Records and their own label Think 2wice. Keep an eye out for slew of new remixes as well as a new EP on San Francisco label Frite Nite spring of 2010. Tactic’s skill in both djing and production has the Pitch Weekly exclaiming “they demonstrate a vehicle of pure talent with a motor that doesn’t quit.” Expect that motor to keep going through 2010 and beyond.
